AI tool adoption nearly doubles participation in WorldQuant quant contest

WorldQuant said about 156,000 people signed up for its International Quant Championship this year, nearly double last year's roughly 80,000, as wider AI tool access lowered barriers to building trading models. Victor Ayebameru, a student from Nigeria, took first place; over 40,000 women participated and about 28% of entrants came from Africa.
